On November 1, 2014, Ohio Facilities Construction Comission (OFCC) named senior staffer David Chovan as interim executive director. Chovan, who also serves as the Commission's chief financial and operating officer, succeeds the former executive director, Richard Hickman, who retired from the post effective Oct. 31, 2014.
Chovan has served with the Commission for over three years. Prior to that, he served for 10 years as business operations manager at the General Services Division of the Ohio Department of Administrative Services and was employed 16 years with the City of Columbus. David is a graduate of Capital University and the graduate program at The Ohio State University. He lives in Morrow County with his wife, Sheri.
The appointment was announced at a special meeting of the Commission held on Oct. 30, 2014. Commission Chairman Tim Keen indicated there my be future special meetings called as the Commission finalizes the process for selecting a permanent director.
